THE STORY + THE SOLUTION

Our challenge in this space was creating a cubicle system with fresh & modern feel that balanced privacy & collaboration.

Team Industries, Bagley MN is a leader in machining and assembly of complex components solutions. Because of their success, they needed to expand and add a brand new facility at their campus.

With a staff of 57 employees in this new space, Team wanted to stay away from the Zero Privacy trends like benching, yet keep a collaborative atmosphere for their employees — without losing the privacy aspect they needed.

PRIVACY WITHOUT ISOLATION

Cubicle lands can feel isolated and dreary, and Team Industries wanted their employees to have a place where they could feel the energy buzzing with fresh vibes, classic red and black colors, modern wood laminated panels & clear-topped partitions.

These cubicles & partitions help with daily social distance to keep their employees healthy. But they also provide spaces for teams & workgroups to come together and collaborate.

To create privacy without isolation, we included low laminated panels with frameless glass in the cubicle design.

COLLABORATION SPACES

To facilitate co-worker collaboration, this space is also set up for ideas to flow. The cubicle walkways are lined with whiteboards, where co-workers can grab a round red ottoman and brainstorm together.

Lounge areas, ottomans around whiteboards, and café tables were added to create space for impromptu collaboration.

OVERALL DESIGN: COLORS + TEXTURES + lAMINATES

Once the textures, colors, and laminates were all decided on for the cubicles ― using Hon's About, Ignition, Preside, and Flock lines― carrying this look throughout the building was easy. The offices have the same colors and textures. And the conference area combines the soft seating of Hon Flock with the 'we mean business' modern lines of the Hon Preside conference table.

Overcoming the additional hurdle of delivery delay due to COVID, the final installation was well received by Team Industries and their employees:
